in the heat of it all.

found a comic strip of Calvin and Hobbes on writing. it reminded me how i miss writing - plus the two of them are really cute - so i changed the look of my blog.

my summer so far...

i managed to gain a few more pounds.
i managed to pay an occasional visit at my high school to work on the yearbook.
i managed to survive two weeks of math [3 more weeks to go. more migraines for me. just kidding.]
according to my prof, he saw my friendster profile [now, i wouldn't be surprised if he finds his way over here.]
i managed to attend a friend's party. [and will attend another one tomorrow]

with the debutante. =p

happy 18th birthday cathy! [april 29] muntik ka na naming mabuko kagabi. aral muna ha? hehe. =p

[behind the scenes - pre-summer term]

arrived at College of Mass Comm at around 8. got my form 5A by 8.30. waited for my program adviser until 10 (i am a bad boy. i discreetly fell in line in between my blockmates since i came from the news room where fellow Journ majors are desperately hoping for the resurrection of the CRS website) . filled up my form 5 (good thing i brought an ordinary ballpen. bumakat ang sulat sa ibang forms!) and had it assessed by 10.30 AM. got it back at exactly 3 PM (good thing i stayed and kept my temper under control). payed tuition at Palma Hall by 4, where I met a grade school friend who eventually accompanied me in claiming my class cards and going home.

the delay is courtesy of RealTime enlistment. thanks to realtime enlistment, validation of form 5as took an eternity (since some students might illegally get classes with no slots left. plus we're talking of CMC here, where normal assessment takes an hour.), connecting to the CRS website took an eternity (it was past 10 and still the connection sucked. big time.), and it seemed that manual enlistment and prerogative would be history.

summer term has started. professor's cool. reminded me of my PE instructor last sem. malakas mang-alaska. hihi.

add

distribute goodness to others.
keep it real.
be a difference.

i am trying to love numbers right now. hope it loves me in return.

more soon. got to finish the proving the existence of the cancellation axiom. *sigh*
EDIT: done with homework. thanks ray! =p

grade-conscious mode.

animated.

ever since Pixar came up with 'A Bug's Life' or 'Toy Story,' [can't remember which one came first] i fell in love with animated movies. not that i am childish [well, maybe i am.] maybe it's a form of escapism, seeing that animation looks real, but it isn't [imbento ko lang 'yan. haha.]. i'm so addicted to animated flicks, in a sense that the only mainstream animated movie i missed on the big screen was Cars [we watched 'The Omen.' majority wins eh.]

just watched these 2 animated movies over the past few days with my younger sister. i'm not a credible movie critic and making reviews are not my thing. =p

Happily N'ever After. a young lad working for Prince Charming seeks to prove that happy endings are not by-the-book. add to that the save-the-whole-Fairy Tale Kingdom from Frieda; the evil (and hot) stepmother, who unofficially took charge while the wizard was out-of-town.

i have to give credit to the creators for this refreshing take on fairy tales. but it would be nicer if they added more humor in the plot. heck, even cinderella is bland! (i'm uncomfortable seeing a brunette ella.) the only character that saved the whole thing is Frieda (*Frieda's evil laugh*). oh, and throw in the uber-clueless Prince.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. now this is what i'm talking about. the turtles are (sexy)back! haha. they must save the world from an ancient myth (which, is not actually a myth because it's for real) while trying to keep their brotherhood from falling apart.

though i'm not a huge fan of the cartoons, i like how the movie incorporated the elements of love, action, drama, comedy (courtesy of Michaelangelo) in a single storyline which is not dragging (yet it was bitin. specifically the fight scenes.) plus points for the visually-appealling CGI landscape. cowabunga!

[this is surely an achievement for a blogger like me who always rants about school and often has a difficult time thinking out-of-the-box. haha.]
