post-vacation blues.

yup, today marks the end of my six five-day break.

source of my blues:

: make-up class in accounting. on a holiday. for the entire afternoon. well, it does have its perks.

: 2nd long exam in math (calculus). good thing we already did sample problems last week.

: 2nd long exam in economics. at 730 in the morning. i'm counting on my good ol' short-term memory (especially if you have slept in 7 out of 8 lectures).

: reaction paper in psychology. on movies that deal with memory. and i still haven't got a copy of the prescribed titles.

: org application requirements.

: the finals of the UP History Challenge.

thanks to Egay for the mini-sem break, even though i wasn't able to make use of the precious time to prepare for the aforementioned school work. it's so much better to stare blankly at the ceiling and cram than to study and see a counseling psychologist. long story.

mellow.

the silence was shattered.

the laughter died out.
everything else came to a halt.

and the tears kept on falling.

for no apparent reason
other than a clueless mind.

good thing the rain was pouring.

no one could see it coming
just a shoulder to cry on.

**

a little something that an emotionally-unstable individual like me cooked up.

maybe it's stress from school, academic or otherwise.

what the heck, who am i kidding.
not even a pending failing mark in world lit is not an excuse to be melodramatic.

**

anyways, i had a very interesting weekend. (by weekend, i mean late fridays, saturdays and sundays. haha.)

*me and kuya Chalkie (CSSP-Peers) placed 2nd in the elimination round of the UP History Challenge! besides irritating freshmen who insisted that the Internet is a more reliable source than a UP History book written by a historian (how illogical can they get, replying to an argument of a professor with that statement.), everything was fun.

*done with the Rifle Pistol Team interview. i was expecting a 'mass comm' brand of interview (read: variety show). but no - it was interesting. i really hope i could finish the application process. small world alert - my sister's high school friend is a team member. hehe.

*my Stat 101 professor, a UP Concert Chorus alumna, performed during their fund-raising concert. i was out of cash, so i wasn't able to catch her grooving her heart out. tsk. haha.

**

that's just about it.
be posting when my life moves along a normal curve again.
or properly balance my accounts.
or learn how to make the most of short-term memory.
just kidding.

a downpour.

it's so much better to think of your warm bed than waking up for a 7 am make-up class. wala naman talaga akong class ng Wednesday! oh well, natulog din naman ako sa lecture. just like conditional probability, the chances of me falling asleep in class given the weather and sleep deprivation is 1.

**

i love the rain. a welcome respite from the heat. plus school work. *grins widely*

conversely, i hate it. makes me think too much about random stuff that i'm trying to suppress. kaya siguro ako tumatanda agad.

to the girl who...

...knows how to kick some butt
...wakes up earlier than any normal human being
...still looks great even with braces
...has great pipes (na hindi pa pinaparinig sa akin!)
...will join us in SE!
...who isn't (joke!)

happy 18th birthday ruby...este shai!

[a camphone is really handy during special occasions like this. thanks for a great day yesterday! (kahit na medyo off ako after ng Rush Hour. must be my dinner. hehe.) hope you enjoyed your special day! =)]
