post-vacation blues.

yup, today marks the end of my six five-day break.

source of my blues:

: make-up class in accounting. on a holiday. for the entire afternoon. well, it does have its perks.

: 2nd long exam in math (calculus). good thing we already did sample problems last week.

: 2nd long exam in economics. at 730 in the morning. i'm counting on my good ol' short-term memory (especially if you have slept in 7 out of 8 lectures).

: reaction paper in psychology. on movies that deal with memory. and i still haven't got a copy of the prescribed titles.

: org application requirements.

: the finals of the UP History Challenge.

thanks to Egay for the mini-sem break, even though i wasn't able to make use of the precious time to prepare for the aforementioned school work. it's so much better to stare blankly at the ceiling and cram than to study and see a counseling psychologist. long story.

a downpour.

it's so much better to think of your warm bed than waking up for a 7 am make-up class. wala naman talaga akong class ng Wednesday! oh well, natulog din naman ako sa lecture. just like conditional probability, the chances of me falling asleep in class given the weather and sleep deprivation is 1.

**

i love the rain. a welcome respite from the heat. plus school work. *grins widely*

conversely, i hate it. makes me think too much about random stuff that i'm trying to suppress. kaya siguro ako tumatanda agad.

happy 18th birthday ruby...este shai!

[a camphone is really handy during special occasions like this. thanks for a great day yesterday! (kahit na medyo off ako after ng Rush Hour. must be my dinner. hehe.) hope you enjoyed your special day! =)]

dream on.

honestly speaking, i have been procrastinating on a lot of school work - i'm very grateful i haven't flunked anything yet - and i still feel the powerful urge to take lots of sleep.

i tried and succeeded to wake up during the REM (rapid-eye movement) phase of my sleep. i did remember my dreams, which included a mix of trivial characters (like them) and situations (like that). basta, basta.

she was there with him, holding hands with their wands out. running towards the end of the long corridor, student militants wave their banners to express their outrage over an oppresive law. instead of chanting crude remarks, they were shouting out theorems on getting derivatives. i woke up, shouting 'Madaya, madaya!.'

i got to watch HP after taking the math exam.

still 'lovin it after 14 years of mass media awareness, collective membership advancement, and outrageous adventures. here's to the UP Mass Communicators Organization - my first family in UP. =) i excused myself from participating in the celebrations - i don't deserve to feel the happiness all of them worked hard for.

i knew there had to be a reason why i started late to review for a quiz tomorrow: classes are suspended.

can't help but remember the high school days; when our classes were suspended several hours after official announcements.

Diliman Preparatory School - sounds familiar? it does now, when it was all over the news. i'm not happy over the fact that many people are asking: 'diba yung school mo dati yung may "bomb threat?'

a city-wide power outage occurred and yet we were in a dark classroom, writing downright silly reasons why we are more satisfied with spending our budget on more burgers than Coke without ever mentioning utility in our paragraphs.

English professor: you, no sleeping inside the classroom! wake up, or else get out of the room.

tired, in pain, confused. but i'm still waiting for that time, while doing the best i can to make up for my mistakes.

sabog.

barely 2 weeks into classes, and i am already physically, mentally and emotionally drained.

accounting is vague, i already slept soundly in my economics class, found out in world lit that there's more to the iliad than an account of a chauvinistic war for an unfaithful woman, am supposed to review for a chapter quiz in psychology tomorrow [but i opted to resurrect my stagnant blog], my future saturday mornings will be occupied by statistics, and calculus is so fast, it feels like we're dismissed right after the prof enters the room.

then, right after classes, we hang out at math building [blacklisted na kami, like i am with my organizations.] before eating somewhere around the vicinity of the campus [para bago, Philcoa!]. couple that with the occasional mood swing, and what do i have? silence. i'm getting sick of myself.

tagged

RULES:
1. Write about how much you are addicted about something.
2. Don't forget to include the percentage of 'addictedness' towards that thing.
3. All with one condition > The total of the percentage must be 100%
4. You MUST tag others and continue tagging but please don't forget to explain the rules and notify that person so that they know they had been tagged.

internet [20%]. surfing the net consists of 3 activites: blogging, Peyups forum-lurking, and e-mail. oh, count in friendster.

mathematics [6%]. before, i tried to love numbers. now, i am attached.

food bingeing [14%]. enough said.

tambay [20%]. lately, i've been going home late [pardon the redundancy] in the evening. i can't resist good company, even if it means threats of grounding.

cartoons [7%]. yeah. thanks to younger siblings, i have an excuse to catch the latest episode of Foster's Home or a new Disney Channel original movie.

SMS [13%]. i have renewed interest in unlimited texting. i have sent around 3000 messages in the past 2 weeks alone.

reading [5%]. reading my sister's novels for the nth time. and i never get tired of it.

lomography [10%]. flowery term for 'spontaneous camwhoring.' but seriously, i love taking pictures of stuff i deem aesthetic or comical every so often.

sleep [5%]. being a nocturnal being does have its perks. but i need my share of sleep once in a while.

still searching for others who haven't been tagged yet. oh, the tag is courtesy of gerome. =)

it's a good thing i'm leaving CMC for the School of Economics. goodness, it took me 7 hours to get the dean's signature. i was on the verge of tears as the deadline approached. apparently, they have no sense of urgency, even though i told them a couple of times already that i needed my clearance and permit to transfer yesterday! never mind that i missed our study group and professor's surprise for rona's debut. [happy birthday rona! sorry i wasn't able to greet you personally.] add to my dilemma some irksome UPCAT-passer wannabes who thought they own the Office of the Univ Registrar. as if they could ace the exam with that attitude.

now, red tape is one thing i'm not going to miss about CMC.

grade-conscious mode.

the heat is on.

according to a feature in the lifestyle section of a well-known and oftentimes left-leaning broadsheet (don't get me wrong - i love reading it.), everyone has their 'Bora' story to tell. well, i have a different story to tell.

i love summer. who doesn't? more pounds to gain from being a house bum. more time to go to the mall and just gaze at the displays. more liquids to lose from the wretched heat.

for the past few years; i spent my summer here in the city, doing school-related stuff when school's already out. or splurging on frequent trips to the nearest air-conditioned entertainment/lifestyle stop (okay, so it's a mall.). the last out-of-town trip i could remember was a trip to Tagaytay; when I was still 11 (ah, so young and innocent.), courtesy of my mom's office.

oh well, this summer's no different. i'm taking up advanced units so i could catch up with the curriculum. plus working on the yearbook (lost the address, yet again.).

enjoy your summer break guys. =p

pre-summer blues.

soc sci 2 exam done. nosebleed, thanks to Karl Marx and his materialistic views. now, only 3 requirements separate me and an early summer break. but i have to pay the price by taking a summer class that will alter the path i am taking.

hope i could meet the demands called for by shouldering additional responsibility. by that, i mean being an officer of an organization for next school year. =p

still don't know what function to attend. time could have separated the two so i could have the best of both. but no.

reality check: it IS hard to always be the listener in conversations.

laban ka? =p

got this pic from kea a few moments ago. brings back the thrill of playing paintball for the first time (not to mention the pain of being hit by a pellet) and reminded me of other fun moments from our 1st block bonding.

i love k6.

PART TWO OF GEOG FIELD TRIP SOON. HAHA.
