y-vote [quoted]

Philippine media stresses the importance of voting for the Filipinos to avoid the mistakes of the past. it's a good thing it did not imply that the voting process supplies the point in the political sentence.

reforms in the electoral process should be addressed. being a democratic country should not stop us from weeding out unqualified candidates, banning political dynasties, and disqualifying party-list groups who do not represent marginalized sectors of the society, among countless things that keep us from holding a fair and clean election.

it is indeed hard to point out candidates who have the genuine interest to serve the people. with thorough scrutiny of the public, people can choose the lesser of two evils - candidates who are intent to lay their hands on the gold and the glory and candidates who have their minds set on tipping the balance of power in their favor.

in the society, there lives a group of young, opinionated people who certainly have their share of life stories to tell and beliefs to uphold. i, for one, belive in their capacity to initiate long-term changes in the aforementioned landscape not only by exercising their right to vote for the people that best represent themselves but also engaging in activities that serve to achieve the common good.
